Meet Kayla, NTP, INHC

A New Orleans native, Kayla’s wellness journey began after college, when she moved to New York City chasing big dreams. But the highs & lows of city life, the hustle, the pressure, and the constant state of fight or flight took a toll on her body. That’s when her PCOS symptoms began to spiral. She was prescribed birth control as a quick fix, only to develop high blood pressure as a side effect. At just 22, she was told she might need to go on medication. That’s when her intuition told her there had to be a better way.

The stress, social anxiety, and disconnection from her body were heartbreaking, especially because Kayla has always deeply valued connection, joy, and her people. Trusting that inner knowing, she found her way to functional medicine through Parsley Health, where she began working with health coaches who helped her not only heal physically, but reconnect with her body and her power. That experience reminded her who she was and what was possible. It lit a fire within her, turning pain into purpose. And in 2020, Kayla became certified as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

After five years in New York City, she moved to Austin for a slower pace and a fresh start. It was there that she met her husband and their dog Luna, and began turning her passion for healing into her life’s work. While in Austin, she completed additional training in emotional eating psychology coaching through IIN in 2024, and graduated as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner through the Nutritional Therapy Association in February 2025.

With a background as a graphic designer and art director, she brings both creativity and compassion to her work, always making wellness feel warm, accessible, and real.

Kayla now lives in San Diego, continuing her mission to support women in healing from the inside out. Her own journey with PCOS, anxiety, and body image gave her a deep sense of compassion and a clear vision: to help women love themselves to health, not hate themselves smaller.

At Honey Wellness, everything Kayla offers is rooted in creating a safe, supportive space where healing feels nourishing, sustainable, and empowering.
